The Savage Land Box Set
The 2008 SDCC Marvel Legends exclusive from Hasbro is a box set of Marvel’s “Savage Land” heroes: Shanna the She-Devil, Ka-Zar, and Zabu. Hasbro’s offerings so far under the Marvel Legends banner have been pretty hit or miss with most collectors (mostly misses…) but this is one set that I think we can all agree is pretty cool. I’d say that Shanna and Ka-Zar are probably the best of what Hasbro has given us so far in their “version” of this line. Expand for pics and analysis! (more…)

I picked up the Toys R Us exclusive Hasbro Marvel Legends Black Queen figure. Pretty neat to get this character, but it’s a shame she’s just a repaint of the Emma Frost body with a new head. The new head, however, is actually quite nice. Perhaps Hasbro’s best female head sculpt yet. Now, if only we could get a few more members of the Hellfire Club squeezed into Marvel Legends. Maybe even a box set?! Ha. Yeah, right. See my pics of the Black Queen when you expand the post. 
Hasbro has dished Wal-Mart a little love in the form of a couple sets of exclusive 2-packs. Cannonball and Domino get packaged together, while Cable and Marvel Girl enjoy each other’s company in the another set. I was completely sold on Cannonball and Domino - these are the first incarnations of either character under the Marvel Legends banner (be it by ToyBiz or Hasbro) and the figures just came out pretty nice. Cable and Marvel Girl on the other hand were passes. Expand the post to find out why!
