The Savage Land Box Set
The 2008 SDCC Marvel Legends exclusive from Hasbro is a box set of Marvel’s “Savage Land” heroes: Shanna the She-Devil, Ka-Zar, and Zabu. Hasbro’s offerings so far under the Marvel Legends banner have been pretty hit or miss with most collectors (mostly misses…) but this is one set that I think we can all agree is pretty cool. I’d say that Shanna and Ka-Zar are probably the best of what Hasbro has given us so far in their “version” of this line. Expand for pics and analysis! (more…)

In 2008, Hasbro kicked off Marvel Legends in its “new” form - a series of 2-packs of figures that feature loads of accessories and swappable hands and heads. Hasbro revealed at SDCC this year that they are phasing out the BAF concept and will be abandoning single-carded Marvel Legends figs altogether in 2009. So, this first series of 2-packs is pretty much the shape of things to come. The debut assortment includes sets of Ultimate Captain America and Nick Fury, Wolverine and Forge, Ronin and Elektra, and Mr. Fantastic and the Thing. Expand to see pics and reviews.
